BRITA – Reduce Plastic Wastage
Iris Worldwide approached BDB to support with their campaign for BRITA highlighting the amount of plastic waste we generate in our homes via plastic water bottles. Building on the stats that we consume over 7.7 billion bottles of water annually, we used consumer research to reveal that three quarters of Brits are still buying plastic bottled water, despite half knowing that 91% of all bottles will go to landfill.
Brand ambassadors Joanna Lumley and Gethin Jones were on hand to urge the UK to take action against SUP bottled water with a simple solution, to switch to using BRITA water filters in the home.
By utilising the consumer research, alongside the brand ambassadors, we were able to secure 11 BBC Radio interviews as well as Sky News, who came and filmed live on site, at the side of the River Thames
The Encephalitis Society – Japanese Rugby World Cup 2019
With the 2019 Rugby World Cup fast approaching, The Encephalitis Society tasked Be-Different Broadcast to raise awareness of the importance, for those travelling to Japan, to ensure they have the correct travel vaccines before travelling.
By using a mixture of broadcast media relations and video creation, we were able to target National TV and Radio, as well as online outlets. Via this tactic we were able to secure two hours of airtime, reaching over 18million listeners.
Interviews included LBC, Kerrang Radio, talkRADIO and a 20-minute-long interview on BBC 5 Live.
PharmaDoctor – How to Keep Your New Year Resolution
With the launch into pharmacy of new products to help with weight loss, drinking less and smoking less, PharmaDoctor were keen to raise awareness of their 40,000 services around the UK and highlight just how easy it can be to get help sticking to your New Year Resolution from your local pharmacist.
January is a very saturated time of the year to discuss New Year Resolutions stories on air so, in order to cut through noise and achieve our aim of making this a light hearted story, we recruited the King of Resilience himself – Eddie the Eagle, alongside ‘Best Practice Pharmacist of the Year’, James Tibbs to discuss offer their tips on how to keep going when you feel ready to quit.
By supporting this campaign with consumer research, we were able to add some nice local stats which enabled us to secure coverage across 10 regional BBC Stations, as well as National TV news on Sky News.
